Key Points from the GSR meeting on Saturday July 9, 2011

Thanks to all that attended our recent GSR meeting and welcome to the new GSR’s. All members of CMA are welcome.

A special thanks to all members that served on the district and committee chairs for the last two years. It has been a great honor to serve as your chairman but in the spirit of rotation my term is up.
We have a fantastic new board that will be serving the L.A. district 2011 – 2013. Our new chairman is Mark M. And our new co- chair is Tim P.
Secretary – Sal I, Treasurer – Jeff o, Events – Gina B, P&I – Joey C, and I will serve on the advisee committee along with Dale G.

World Conference Report:
The next world conference will be in Atlanta Georgia March 2012.
Los Angeles submitted a bid for the 2014 world conference. Details TBA.

Chips/Literature: Kurt T. - Chips & literature are always available at each GSR meeting. The return of the newcomer packets ($1.00 each) are in stock and include the new pamphlets “The Sober Tool Kit” and “What About God.” The book Crystal Clear: Stories of Hope is now available at the GSR meeting for $12.00. If we are sold out, you can order copies. The 2011 little burgundy big book is available for $2.00 apiece featuring the first 164 pages of the AA big book. There are ten approved pamphlet currently no charge limit 5 apiece. Directories (15 cents ea.) If you need these items you can come to the meeting or alert your GSR’s. If you notice that literature tables at your meetings are low on CMA literature, please talk to your literature person, secretary, or GSR about obtaining these items. Area Assembly: All GSR’s are invited to join us at next California Area Assembly on August 20th, 2011 in San Louis Obispo @ 1:30 pm San Louis Obispo Alano Club 1814 Osos Street. A new board will be elected at this meeting.

Public outreach, information (P&I): Please join Joey C and the team to distribute helpline cards.

Helpline: Join Roger D and take a helpline shift. It is a great way to help guide newcomers to meetings.
